...would put a cheeseball wing like this on a 911? It’s for sale at a dealer in my state. 15k for a 1999.

You should rescue it and take it to a Porsche shelter, they will clean it up, nurse it back to health, and remove that tumor...

If the car checks out otherwise, it’s a good deal (and ‘99 is the best year for the 996).

How much for “spoiler delete”?

Why is ‘99 the best year?

It’s probably the same reason why wings are usually added.
More wing->faster looking car

This one’s an automatic. Does that influence your opinion any?

All porsches must be treated ethically, although our mechanic would probably opt to put it down... it’s had a tough life

You could still get it with a proper LSD, cable throttle (not e gas), and it has the dual-row IMS which has a much lower rate of failures.
It’s about 200+lbs lighter than the 993 before it while up on power of about 10 or so hp.
And an unbelievable deal right now.
